I like my job. I feel good about myself when I am getting good work experience while earning a paycheck.
The people at NIVC are friendly and the staff are always helpful. NIVC helps me gain good work habits so I can move into a job in the community. -- Brian Baker, Mason City
JobLink
JobLink is the employment services division. We offer employability skills training, career assessments, retail and food service certificates and training, job placement, and job supports. As the premier community employment service provider, we pay particular attention to discovering a person’s natural skills, habits, and talents. We meet the local workforce needs by helping employees apply for open positions in local businesses. We help business by outsourcing labor solutions in a variety of fields, including clerical and administrative support, food services, stocking, clerical and janitorial, and facilities management.
The store depends on the generosity and support of the community as all the merchandise is donated. In turn, income produced at the store is needed to support paid employment training programs for North Iowans with disabilities.
Affordables restocks over 300 different items each day and serves an average of 150-200 customers each day.
NIVC Production Services Department employs and trains individuals with disabilities with contracted work from local businesses. Many local businesses choose to outsource their sub-assembly work to NIVC Services, Inc. Outsourcing to NIVC Services frees up space in area business facilities and promotes just-in-time delivery of products and LEAN services.

Welcome to the NIVC Services website! As a job seeker, family member, employer, business owner, friend or community member we are glad you have chosen to learn more about us. We are grateful for your interest and hope this is just the beginning of a wonderful relationship.
At NIVC we believe it’s important for all Iowans to contribute to their self-support to the greatest extent possible. And it’s not just about the paycheck. Work gives life meaning, from having a purpose for getting up each morning, to the sense of accomplishment and friendships that support us in good times and bad. It goes beyond the individual. A community benefits financially and socially when all its citizens are sharing their talents and skills.
NIVC Services’ slogan is helping people work, but we can’t make it happen without your support. Please take a moment to consider how you can help our community embrace diversity and be the best it can be! We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
America and Iowa work best when everybody works!
